Folkestone & Hythe District Council is responsible for maintaining, servicing and repairing 98 fire door sets located within the Landlord and circulation areas at the office building called Connect 38 following a BM Trada Q Mark survey that identified various defects.

Included in the specification are works to 98 door sets, which comprise of 9 sets of double doors, 10 sets of doors with an additional half leaf, 79 single door sets.

In this specification, a door set is deemed to include the door, the frame or lining, hinges, intumescent fire and smoke seals, glazing, stops, architrave, ironmongery and signage.

The renewals are required to maintain complaint fire protection to the staircases, lift lobby and all communal areas within the building.
